A profile turns on a tested set of options in one click. You find it on the Dashboard under Profile, and as the Profile menu on the Optimize tab.

| Safe (default) | Page cache, preload after clearing, browser cache, compression, lazy loading for images and iframes, missing image sizes, remove the emoji script. Will not break your site. |
| Balanced | Everything in Safe, plus smaller JS and CSS files, defer JS, WebP copies, local Google Fonts with font swap, and removing head clutter, self pingbacks and version numbers. |
| Aggressive | Everything in Balanced, plus remove jQuery Migrate, AVIF copies, font preload, remove embeds, Dashicons for visitors and XML-RPC, and Heartbeat every 60 seconds. Marked Expert. |

What happens when you switch
- The profile is applied and the cache is cleared.
- The self check loads your homepage and a post. If something breaks, the change switches back by itself.
- You can Undo the switch for 24 hours.
A profile never changes your exclusions, image quality, Safe Mode, cache on or off, or how long pages are kept. Options your server cannot support are left out.
