Self check: changes that switch back

After a change that could break pages, Softminal Cache tests it on your own site, right away.

When it runs

After you turn on or change JS minify, defer JS, jQuery Migrate, CSS minify, local fonts, font preload, some Bloat options or a Script Manager rule. Image options do not need it.

What it checks

It loads your homepage and your latest post, as a visitor on the server and in a hidden frame in your browser. It looks for:

  • a page that does not load normally
  • a PHP error or a page cut short
  • files made by the plugin that fail to load
  • new JavaScript errors (errors your site already had do not count)

If something fails

The change is undone by itself and the cache is cleared. You see a message like “Switched back. Defer JS made your site worse.” The result also shows in the Checked on your site card.
