The speed audit and Fix buttons

The speed audit runs in your own browser, on your own site. Nothing is sent to an outside service.

What it measures

It loads your homepage, your latest post or page, your top category archive and the WooCommerce shop page if you have one. It shows Page load, Server response, Page weight, Requests and Largest image.

How the score works

The score is out of 100. Up to 60 points come from the measurements (server response, load time, page weight and number of requests). Up to 40 points come from checks, such as whether the page cache, defer JS, browser cache, compression, minify, lazy loading and WebP are on.

  • 90 or more: “Your site is fast”.
  • 70 or more: “Your site is in good shape”.
  • Below 70: “Your site can be much faster”.

Recommended fixes

Each finding has a Fix button that turns on the right setting. Low risk fixes are tagged Safe. If another plugin already handles something, you see “Handled by” and the plugin’s name.

Score over time keeps your last 30 audits, so you can see the effect of each change.
