Script Manager

Many plugins load their files on every page, even where they are not used. The Script Manager lets you turn a file off where it is not needed. Find it on Optimize, then Script Manager.

How to use it

  1. Visit a page of your site while logged in as admin, so the plugin can see which files it loads.
  2. Open the Script Manager and pick the page from the list.
  3. For a file, choose Where it loads: Everywhere, Nowhere, Only on certain pages or Logged-in users only.

Only on certain pages

Add up to 10 patterns. Use @home for the homepage, @shop for shop pages, ~ for a regular expression, or plain text that is matched against the page address.

Files you cannot turn off

Core files such as jQuery, the admin bar and the WordPress i18n and hooks scripts are locked. Files that other files need are locked too, so you cannot break a page by accident.

Turning a file off can break the page that needs it. Each change is checked on that page and can be undone.
