Safe Mode

Safe Mode pauses CSS, JS and image optimisations, the Script Manager and Bloat removal. The page cache keeps working. Use it to check whether an optimisation causes a problem.

Three ways to turn it on

  1. Click the gear icon in the top bar and switch on Safe Mode.
  2. Add ?softminal_cache_safe=1 to any address of your site. This works only for you, while logged in as admin.
  3. Add this line to wp-config.php. Then it cannot be switched off from the dashboard:
define( 'SOFTMINAL_CACHE_SAFE_MODE', true );

Turning Safe Mode on or off clears the cache, so visitors see the change at once.

If the problem goes away in Safe Mode, turn optimisations back on one by one, or use Undo, to find the cause.
