When the cache is cleared

Clear it yourself

  • Click Purge in the plugin’s top bar to clear everything.
  • Use the Softminal Cache menu in the admin bar: Purge all, or Purge this page while you are viewing a page on your site.
  • With WP-CLI: wp softminal-cache purge or wp softminal-cache purge https://example.com/page/.

One post and the pages around it

When you publish, update, unpublish or delete a post, or a comment is approved or edited, Softminal Cache clears that post, the homepage, the blog page, the archive of its post type and its category and tag pages. If the address of a post changes, the old address is cleared too.

Everything

The whole cache is cleared when you:

  • switch theme, save the Customizer, or change menus or widgets
  • change the permalink structure, site title, tagline or site address
  • install updates, or activate or deactivate any plugin
  • save Softminal Cache settings, Undo, Restore, switch profile, import settings or toggle Safe Mode

With Preload after clearing the cache on, the cleared pages are rebuilt in the background right away. See Preload.
